About

LED has long been a treatment room staple, backed by decades of clinical studies and medical research. This interactive blended learning workshop will give you the answers to all the questions you have when it comes to LED. You will gain an understanding of its origins, as well as the principles of light therapy behind LED and how this influences the biological changes that this type of technology can deliver to the cells of the skin. You will also gain insights into the latest developments in device power & wavelength options to treat specific skin conditions or concerns and much, much more!

Here is the module outline:

The word 'History' is taken from the Greek word "historia" which literally means "investigation". In order to truly understand the present, we must surely investigate the past. Join us in this chapter to gain a better understanding of the origins of light therapy and how this journey led us to discover LED.

This section will provide you with basic knowledge and understanding of the physics and properties of light/tissue interaction in order to enhance the management of the client's expectations in the context of visible outcomes and results on the skin.

In order to safely and effectively deliver a LED treatment, it's important that you know how to assess the client’s skin. In this chapter, we will explore how to effectively execute a MediLUX consultation and understand why certain conditions are contraindicated.

The beauty of a MediLUX treatment is that we can achieve remarkable results on a cellular level without the need for the use of any additional cosmeceuticals. However, we know that combining LED with the right cosmeceuticals at the right stage of the treatment can boost the overarching results that you can achieve for your clients. You will also learn about the latest FLE products from Lumixa that are actived by the LED light which inturn helps to boost the overall performance of the treatment.
